What messages does GhoSTR produce?+
For guests who opt in, you get three messages: a checkout note with your guest's trip memory woven in (the Follow Through + Memory Gift), your Airbnb guest write-up ready to paste, and a keep-warm note for when the timing feels right. For guests who skip the opt-in, you get a clean checkout follow-up and the write-up — two messages, no trip memory.
What is a guest card and how do I get one?+
A guest card is a small paper form you set out before check-in. Guests fill it in during their stay — favorite spots, restaurants, how the space felt. After checkout you snap a photo and your ghost reads every word. Print blank cards directly from your dashboard.
Is GhoSTR a bot that messages my guests automatically?+
No. GhoSTR never contacts your guests. It writes messages for you to send — copy, paste, done. There are no automated messages, no AI chatting on your behalf, no surprise outreach. Every word that reaches a guest comes from you.
What if a guest doesn't opt in — or doesn't fill out a card?+
GhoSTR respects that. If a guest skips the opt-in, you still get a polished checkout message and your guest write-up — no trip memory, no keep-warm note. If a guest leaves the card blank entirely, there's nothing to process and you're not charged. Guests who don't opt in are never contacted.
What if the guest writes something negative?+
That's exactly what GhoSTR is built to catch. Negative feedback is flagged before it can become a public review. You get an immediate heads-up with the guest's exact words so you can reach out first. Negative cards don't generate messages, and you're not charged.
Does GhoSTR connect to my Airbnb account?+
No. GhoSTR syncs your calendar using a read-only iCal URL — the same link you'd share with any calendar app. We never access your Airbnb login, your inbox, or your host tools. Your account credentials stay with you.
What do you do with my guests' information?+
Guest data lives in your account and is never shared or sold. If your property uses registration mode (required in some jurisdictions, such as Minnesota Statute 327), we securely store the name, address, and vehicle information your guests provide on the card — accessible only to you, and automatically purged after 13 months. Phone numbers from opted-in guests are stored only for the keep-warm message you choose to send. GhoSTR never contacts your guests.
What does $1 per reservation mean exactly?+
You pay $1 each time you process a guest card — snap a photo, generate messages. No monthly seat fee, no per-message charges, no tiers. One checkout, one dollar. Your first three are free, no credit card required.
What do I need to get started?+
Your Airbnb listing URL and your Airbnb calendar URL. The calendar URL is in Airbnb → Hosting → Calendar → Availability settings → Sync calendars → Export calendar. Paste both into GhoSTR and your upcoming reservations sync automatically.
What if a guest doesn't fill out a card?+
No card, no charge. You only pay when you submit a completed guest card and generate messages. Reservations without cards sit in your dashboard until checkout.
Does it work with VRBO or direct bookings?+
The guest card and message pipeline work for any stay regardless of platform. Calendar sync is Airbnb-only today — VRBO support is in the works. For direct bookings or VRBO stays, you can add reservations manually.
Can I use more than one voice style?+
Yes. Each property has its own voice setting — Warm & Personal, Witty & Playful, Professional, Stoic, Adventurous, or Poetic. You can also switch voices at any time and regenerate with a single click.
